As I'm not well enough for spending hours painting, I've asked friends for help giving the BrushSlaveLeague exclusive Mad Painter a try.
And I wasn't kept waiting for long, as my good friend Jon B (aka Axiom) from Beast Face Miniatures/the Gaming Cantina - has just sent me his photos of his take on the crazy little dwarf .
BSL-exclusive: Mad Painter
And what a great job he has done. Wonderful use of colours and nice contrasts. Really did the little guy great justice. I'm so proud. Thanks, Jon - much appreciated :-)

Collecting John Pickford: Upcoming releases from Otherworld Miniatures
There isn't much to show yet, but Richard Scott have spilled a few beans for the hungry crowed @ the Otherworld Miniatures Forum.
Seems like John, in the forthcoming months, will be doing:
Now that's on hell of a worm - and looks so cool. Better go see if I can find a can of purple spray paint :)
Seems like John, in the forthcoming months, will be doing:
- 4 Goblin Missile Troops (2 archers and 2 slingers)
- An Ogress
But have also been making this "beast" here - and it seems pretty close to finishing :) - but looks like a nightmare moulding :-/

Collecting John Pickford: New releases from Clam Minis
A bit of a plug for my own range of miniatures ... forgive me :)
- but finally all the new items has arrived and have been sorted, packed and are ready to go :-)
So what is new?
First, of course, the long awaited new set of multi part core warriors by John Pickford. This time I went for a set with great weapons/two-handed weapons/two hand weapons
And then I'm really happy being able to give Sjoerd Trouwee's (Twisted Tales) fantastic latest pieces a home.
You can find out more on the Ewal Dvergar-blog - here - or by <clicking> the banner :)

Not John's, I know, but will go rather well with them. There are 2 and a half miniature out - a Champion called Sweyn and the Captain twins, Olaf & Oluf.

Ave Caesar, morituri te salutant!
More diversions from painting Pickford's, I'm afraid!
Have spend much time laying down lately and have killed the time watching "Spartacus - blood and sand" on DVD.
And as I have lots and lots of Gladiators in my boxes - mainly those by Mark Sims and Mark Copplestone's (Foundry and Crusader Miniatures), I was tempted to paint a few of those.
Also an good excuse to try out my new Vallejo skintones.
They where fun doing, but I think they will be the last ones using the Vallejo's - not really pleased with the skin colours. So will look elsewhere for a good Mediterranean skin recipe. Suggestions are very welcome.
So here they are:
Crusader Miniatures: Gladiators
And who know, I might even have to dig up some good Gladiator rules to try them out :)

Collecting John Pickford: Hidden Foundry's - Pig Faced Orcs
Over the years John has created lots and lots of fantasy miniatures for Wargames Foundry. Most of them we have seen - like the Goblins, Undead, Demons, Trolls - and more recently Halflings, but a few weeks ago some "hidden" pick-faced Orsc suddenly showed up at Foundry's new Fantasy eBay-store "Flyte of Fantasy"
As the title says they seems to be for "Thousand Tribes". The Thousand Tribes are a warband (army list) in Foundry's new rulebook: "God of Battles" written by Jack Thornton.
In here the Thousand Tribes are described as a loose confederation of tribal people how share similar believes of animistic spirits.and ancestor worship. The Pig-faced Orcs seems rather useful as such.
These here are the first pack out of 8 packs made. Hopefully more/all will show up at "Flyte of Fantasy" as well.
Taken from the "God of Battles"-book, here's what we can await:
