Lost expedition - and a Kickstarter

A big game will be running over the next 30 days (or so), and I thought I'll chip in and paint a character for this huge game of archetypes, nobles and heroes, villains and thugs. Old enemies will clash but unknown enemies will emerge as well. Alliances will fall, new will be build.  Will the Old Empire, with such great history but blurry future, survive.

I'll call my character Dr. Jazza Bernard or simply "Doc J". The doctor is a humanist and an ideologist with the noble cause of saving the old world from itself. Jazza is a legendary explorer into the unknown and his now marching deep into unrevealed territories in search of a cure. Because the Old Empire is falling apart. The Empire has been infested by a disease that leaves the population confused and in great despair. Management is failing. There's a increasing authority distrust. Hopelessness has flooded the country. Common sense has gone...

Doc J is desperate trying to find a cure. But will he succeed? Will he find it? Will it work and most importantly, will he be in time?

Let the game begin 😁

Doc J is based on a Politico miniature from  Little Soldier Company/Dear Tony Blair-blog. This wonderful miniature is sculpted by Bob Olley.

Riddler and Professor Pyg

- or what's left of him.

Don't know if it's just me, but after an "intensive" painting project (to my scale) with lots of creative thinking of new colour schemes, contrasting and harmony colours, colour temperature, focal points etc. I fell rather exhausted and it is often ending rather sudden and with a long hiatus from painting to follow. I like the creative process to a certain degree, but rather than finishing I begin to look into new projects with more unified colour schemes or just painting something more historical accurate - just like it happened with the MM90-Painting Countdown ending with painting the Jong-Un and Trump-proxy-figs, in spring 2018. It ended with a long hiatus anyway, but I'll blame the extreme warm summer we had up here for that, though. It wasn't lack of interest in continuing but the climate ruin my paints.

I did a few thing up to Christmas, but I haven't really painted anything, in 2019. Yes, I showed you the Ewal Wizards the other day, but they are actually paintings from around the same time as the Chaos Dwarf Baggage Train. So, not ending up in the same old habit I dug up another historical accurate miniature - or as close as it comes, when you are painting the dwarven Politicos sculpted by Bob Olley (and available from The Little Soldier Company). Cause, I picked up the David Cameron - or more precis, the Underking David, Pursuant of Charm and his Demonic Familiar to paint.

Mr. Big Button and his sidekick Rocket Man

On this day in history:

According to Fox News, the two dictators - Mr. Big Button and Rocket Man - will be having a meeting at the Pirate Port of Santosa, in a few hours.

Dear Tony Blair: DTB7 - Leaders of the 'Almost' Free World

Apparently, their meeting is about non of them are having fun with the games they have been playing. And trust me, those of us watching haven't had any fun either.

So here's my piece of advice for you guys: "if the game you are playing, ain't fun, don't bend the rules to try making them fun (cause you both failed, miserably). Put the war games aside and try out a different game". Maybe you should try out Carcassonne. Wife, kids and I are having lots of fun with Carcassonne. Always makes a good laugh. And I'm sure you would have fun, too.

Maggie, Leader of the Miner's Guild

As I've been afraid of being accused of interfering with the election process in a sovereign state, vote manipulations, misinforming the people, hacking campaigns, planting fake news or what-ever seems popular these days, I've waited posting this till after the Brit's have had their General Election. It's done and dusted. Can't comment on the result, but I'm glad to see that 69% actually cared voting

I've waited with this cause I'm sitting on some news. The braking news is, Maggie is back :) Yes, I've heard that "the Bitch is dead" but I can present you with some alternative facts. She is most certainly alive. She might not be running for Parliament, no - but she has now taking the role of Leader of the Miners Guild at Mount Doom. If not in the real world, then in my alternative miniatures world. Cause my DTB-Mags has now been painted

Dear Tony Blair: DTB2 Mags

The miniature is beautifully sculpted by Bob Olley and is available from awesome Dave Woods @Dear Tony Blair-blog
